‘ “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. ‘
John 15:5
In this verse.
Jesus addressed his disciples before he left them.
For good.
To be crucified.
He explained that He is the vine.
And we are the branches.
If you know anything about gardening.
You know that a seed must be planted in soil.
Not just any soil but good soil that is rich in nutrients.
As it grows a vine begins to sprout.
And the vine grows larger.
Branches develop off the vine.
Then those branches begin to produce fruit.
Spiritually our lives are similar.
Once a seed is planted in our heart.
We must water it daily.
When and where you water it matters too.
As that is the soil.
Once we accept Jesus.
Who is the vine.
We grow into branches of Him.
As we grow in our obedience to Him.
Fruit is produced.
I want you to understand.
You have a purpose.
That’s bigger than you.
And it’s time to start walking in it!
However.
That’s only possible.
If you follow Jesus!
