‘Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”’

John 20:29

It’s a fight.

Daily.

To keep our faith.

There are so many distractions.

Pulling us away.

From God.

And believing in Jesus.

Remember.

You cannot say you love God.

Without believing in Jesus.

You would think.

That is an easy concept to understand.

But it’s not.

The Pharisees didn’t believe in Jesus.

The high priest & scribes didn’t believe in Jesus.

Even some of His disciples didn’t believe in Him.

In the above verse.

Jesus is speaking to his disciple Thomas.

Thomas refused to believe the other disciples.

When they told him Jesus came to visit them.

After he was crucified.

Here’s what Thomas said.

‘Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”’

John 20:24-25

After a few days.

Jesus returned to visit his disciples.

And to speak to Thomas.

‘And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.”’

John 20:26-27

If it was hard for Thomas to believe.

I know it’s hard for people to believe now.

I want you to know this.

You wouldn’t be here right now.

Reading this devotional.

If God wasn’t drawing you in.

The next step is to BELIEVE.

Once you surrender.

Everything will become clear to you.

I love you!

And I pray your day is blessed!
