‘Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold and said, “It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken to you first; but since you reject it, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles. ‘
Acts 13:46
There’s so much to digest.
In Acts 13.
Today.
I want to focus on.
How we are called to be the light.
But we choose to reject it.
Scripture tell us:
‘For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”’
Acts 13:47
I pray everyday.
That God can use me.
To be a light.
To the unbeliever.
Or the believer on the fence.
The Book of Acts.
Shows us.
The beginnings of the church.
After Jesus ascended into heaven.
Back then.
The disciples leaned on the Holy Spirit.
To guide them.
In all decisions.
They traveled all over.
To preach the Word of God.
The Word.
Was preached to Jews first.
But.
Many rejected the Word.
That was preached to them.
They were too caught up in.
Serving the Laws of Moses.
However.
When Jesus lived.
Many were healed by Him.
And they were not all Jews.
So Gentiles.
Meaning non Jewish people.
Had a experience with Jesus.
And Believed in Him.
So it was important.
For His disciples to deliver.
A Word to the rest of world.
On His behalf.
The sad part is.
The Gentiles received the Word.
With open hearts.
And the Jews rejected it.
Because they were jealous.
Of Jesus.
And His disciples impact.
On the people.
I’m not educated in.
Who’s a Jew or not nowadays.
What I do know.
We have a choice.
To be the light.
Or to reject it.
The choice is yours.
I choose to be in the light.
I want God to use me.
And I pray that you do the same.
