‘Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for its services!’
Nehemiah 13:14
I’m learning.
And.
God.
Has been.
Faithful.
In.
Teaching me.
To.
Remain.
Faithful.
Until.
The end!
This morning.
As I.
Read.
Nehemiah 13.
I noticed.
How.
Nehemiah.
Asked.
God.
To.
Remember.
Him.
For.
The good.
He.
Has.
Done.
Three.
Times!
‘And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should go and guard the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy!’
Nehemiah 13:22
‘and to bringing the wood offering and the firstfruits at appointed times. Remember me, O my God, for good!’
Nehemiah 13:31
Also.
I noticed.
How.
Deeply.
Grieved.
He.
Was.
Because.
Israel.
Turned.
From.
God.
As.
Soon.
As.
He left!
‘and I came to Jerusalem and discovered the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobiah, in preparing a room for him in the courts of the house of God. And it grieved me bitterly; therefore I threw all the household goods of Tobiah out of the room. ‘
Nehemiah 13:7-8
This.
Caused.
Nehemiah.
To.
Take.
Action.
And.
He.
Reset.
Everything.
That.
Had.
Been.
Undone.
That.
Defiled.
The.
Lord’s.
House.
And.
The.
City.
Of.
David!
‘Then I warned them, and said to them, “Why do you spend the night around the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you!” From that time on they came no more on the Sabbath. ‘
Nehemiah 13:21
Look.
I’m.
Not.
Perfect.
But.
I pray.
The Lord.
Remembers.
Me.
For.
The good.
I have.
Done.
With.
The.
Spreading.
Of.
His word.
And.
Being.
A light.
In.
Dark.
Places!
Now.
That.
I’m.
In.
Christ.
It.
Saddens.
Me.
To.
See.
People.
Disobey.
God’s word.
Misuse.
What.
He.
Has.
Given.
Them.
And.
Defile.
Themselves.
Ultimately.
Is.
Time.
To.
Consecrate.
Ourselves.
And.
Live.
Holy!
We.
Should.
Strive.
To.
Live.
According.
To.
God’s word.
Everyday.
Because.
There’s.
Nothing.
In.
This.
World.
Worth.
Going.
To.
Hell.
Over!
‘For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? ‘
Matthew 16:26
I pray.
That you.
Share.
The.
Same.
Spirit.
As.
Nehemiah.
And.
Live.
To.
Serve.
God’s will.
In.
Your life.
Also.
I pray.
God.
Remembers.
You.
In.
The end!
I love you!
And.
I pray your day is blessed!
In Jesus name, Amen!
