‘But I would strengthen you with my mouth, And the comfort of my lips would relieve your grief.’
Job 16:5
I’m learning.
And.
God.
Has been.
Faithful.
In.
Teaching me.
To.
Strengthen.
Others.
When.
They.
Are.
Facing.
Adversity.
And.
Affliction!
This morning.
As I.
Read.
Job 15.
And.
16.
I noticed.
How.
Job.
Continues.
To.
Mention.
That.
His.
Friends.
Are.
Miserable.
Comforters!
‘Then Job answered and said: “I have heard many such things; Miserable comforters are you all!’
Job 16:1-2
Unfortunately.
They.
Continue.
To.
Assume.
Job’s.
Sins.
Have.
Caused.
God.
To.
Bring.
This.
Suffering.
Upon him.
‘For your iniquity teaches your mouth, And you choose the tongue of the crafty. Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; Yes, your own lips testify against you.’
Job 15:5-6
Look.
I’m learning.
That.
The righteous.
Will.
Experience.
Much.
Adversity.
And.
Affliction!
Also.
I’m learning.
That.
Even.
When.
I see.
Others.
Suffering.
That.
Doesn’t.
Mean.
They.
Have.
Done.
Anything.
Wrong!
God.
Is.
Our.
Judge.
As.
Well.
As.
Our.
Redeemer.
So.
If.
He.
Allows.
Us.
To.
Suffer.
Then.
We.
Must.
Support.
Our.
Brothers.
And.
Sisters.
Through.
It!
‘Oh, that one might plead for a man with God, As a man pleads for his neighbor!’
Job 16:21
If.
God.
Allows.
It.
To be.
So.
Then.
So.
Be it!
But.
I do.
Know.
God.
Will.
Deliver.
The.
Righteous.
From.
All.
Of.
Their.
Troubles!
‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.’
Psalms 34:19
I pray.
That you.
Learn.
To.
Pray.
For.
Others.
That.
Are.
Suffering.
And.
Not.
Condemn.
Them!
‘My friends scorn me; My eyes pour out tears to God.’
Job 16:20
Also.
I pray.
That you.
Keep.
Psalms.
34:19.
In.
Your.
Heart.
When.
You.
Face.
Adversity.
And.
Affliction.
Because.
As.
Servants.
Of.
The Lord.
We.
Must.
Know.
That.
God.
Hasn’t.
Forgotten.
About.
Us!
And.
He.
Will.
Deliver.
Us.
From.
All.
Of.
It.
In.
Our.
Due.
Season!
I love you!
And.
I pray your day is blessed!
In Jesus name, Amen!
